East Village Condos - Downtown San Diego Real Estate
East Village is Downtown San Diego's largest neighborhood, spanning 325 acres. Most of East Village's residential development is still to come, making for exciting times. Artists' homes, studios, galleries, and shops are scattered throughout the area. San Diego City College, the New School of Architecture, and two high schools are also located here. Warehouses and even a former church have been renovated and turned into hip new residential lofts. A dramatic facelift is underway for Park Blvd (formerly 12 th avenue), which links San Diego Bay and Balboa Park. Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, opened in April 2004, and the new downtown main library will serve the community as the intellectual hub of the region.
